Construction Process

Whether we are working with a design from an architect, a landscape architect or a pool designed by Surfside Pools the process is the same. We begin by clearing and leveling the land where your pool is going to be located. The pool is then layed out according to the design for your approval. For many customers actually seeing the pool physically staked out is an important step in the process, because not everyone is good at reading plans. Seeing the pool shape and location at full scale, layed out in the back yard, allows the client to fully understand the pools relationship to its environment. This allows for adjustments or changes to be made before construction begins. Once the location is approved we begin excavation. The pool is framed with wooden formwork and rough plumbing is installed along with the steel rebar reinforcing. The Building Department is notified for the steel inspection and once approved, the gunite is installed. You now have a pool in your backyard! From this point on all the finish work begins – tile, coping, walls, patios, steps, utility installation, and landscaping, with every step bringing you closer to your first swim. Surfside Pools is on site every day, building your pool, not a string of subcontractors. Each member of our crew has over 20 years of experience building pools. They are trained professionals dedicated to bringing your dreams into reality.
